It may be “Rogue Friday” but not all the Star Wars announcements today concern Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Yesterday we shared with you the latest in Hot Toys’ Movie Masterpiece Series, a bunch of 1/6th scale figures from Rogue One. Today we bring you a 1/6th scale figure that many fans have been waiting for — Luke Skywalker for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. That’s right, a collectible figure replicating Mark Hamill in the fantastic ending sequence of JJ Abrams’ Star Wars sequel. Hot Toys has released the first images of their Star Wars: the Force Awakens Luke Skywalker 1/6th Scale Figure. I must admit, usually Hot Toys nails the facial and head sculpt, providing scary-real looking replicas of the actor’s facial features. But I’m not that impressed with the sculpt for old Luke Skywalker. Something just seems a bit off. Here is the official info from Hot Toys:

“Luke Skywalker? I thought he was a myth.” – Rey. In the aftermath of the fall of the Empire, Luke Skywalker, the last surviving Jedi, has put himself in exile after his attempt to train a new generation of Jedi went horribly awry. As a new threat to the galaxy known as the First Order emerges, Leia, Han, Chewie, and a group of Resistance heroes risk their lives trying to locate Luke’s whereabouts – with the hope of bringing him back into the fold in their desperate struggle to restore peace and justice to the galaxy.
